Throughout my 12 years of strictly waxing, I’ve gone from working for a prominent national corporation to opening my own wax studio here in Dunedin.
Kim’s Wax Studio was founded in 20?? I was ready to leave the corporate waxing world and venture out on my own. I take pride in offering high quality waxing services to my clients. I know how intimidating waxing can be. I want every single client to leave my studio with a positive experience. the waxing experience
Only good vibes are welcome in Kim’s Wax Studio! From good tunes to the relaxing scents of essential oils, my studio is here to make you feel comfortable. If you’re new here, you’ll fill out a new client intake form. Then I always make sure the doors are locked so we aren’t interrupted during your waxing appointment.
If this is your first time here, I’ll show you around before we dive in! Then I'll leave you in the waxing room to get ready and take off whatever you need to for your service.

Once you’re all ready, I’ll rejoin you in the waxing room, cleanse the skin we’ll be working on today, and then I’ll work my magic!
The wax goes on warm and soft. The heat from the wax allows the pores in your skin to open up, revealing even shorter individual hairs to the wax. Once hardened, I’ll take the wax off your skin. Since I use all premium hard wax products, the wax removal is easier than a soft wax removal would be and typically does not need as many touch ups.
No worries if you're pressed for time! Most waxing services are less than 15 minutes (although some require more time). Before I leave the room, I’ll put my “special sauce” on the skin we worked on to keep it healthy, protected and ready for the day. Then I’ll meet you in the front lobby to cash you out and schedule your next appointment. See you in 4 weeks!
